4100 vs. 14790?

Looking for a mid sized Royal Oak, and finding it difficult to find very much information about them, especially the 4100.

Does anybody know if there is a big difference in terms of reliability, durability, or service costs? I would like to wear it as a daily.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist, think the 2mm difference between a 4100 and a 14790 would be significant?

Here’s a picture of a 37 mm JLC reserve de Marche on my wrist, for reference.
