Seller making it too easy on me...
Okay, so I have a Kobold Seal (titanium version) that I put out for sale on TZ and WUS. It's been lingering for a few weeks and I have lowered the price and bumped it up the FS line. At first, I said I would trade the watch + cash for a Sea Dweller but I sold another watch and went ahead and bought the SD anyway. For the heck of it, I changed the watches I would trade for to the GMT IIc, IWC, Panerai, etc.
So, this guy says he really wants a Seal and has a basically brand new GMT IIc (M series, box and papers, 98%, etc.). I had my watch listed for $2200 and he wants $2900 in cash to do the deal. So... The economy has gotten me down a little lately and worried about the future and I was pretty set on keeping the Seal. However, for basically $5100 (2200+2900), I can get a like-new GMT IIc. But I didn't really want to part with the cash right now. The seller comes back and says, hey, if it makes you feel more comfortable, I can take 3-4 payments over the next several months. This way he doesn't have to list his watch for sale and wait and he gets the watch he wants right now as opposed to waiting for another Seal Ti to come up again. It's almost like fate. Or a scam. Leaning towards fate. He sent pics, seems like a nice guy, references available... what to do, what to do... darn him for trying to make me do the deal!
