Greetings from the great Northeast
Morning, folks. My name is Joe and, well, I'm new here. I've sought out this site to do my best learn about my two Rolexes (both Turn-O-Graphs; a 1967 ref 1625 and a 1997 ref 16263), hoping I can learn from you all.
In my military career, I'm a Lieutenant Colonel of Field Artillery and in my civilian career, I'm the Director of Engineering for various large-bore, military weapon systems. I enjoy sailing, SCUBA diving, collecting and working on classic European sportscars (I prefer carbureted Ferraris and all forms of Jaguar E-Types), hiking/camping, international travel, collecting military firearms, genealogy, collecting ancient Roman coins, and operating my Amateur Radio Staton (KB3MLC). In my military career, I've recently relinquished battalion command, and now serve on brigade staff. It's sometimes hard to believe that I'm 47 years old and have accrued nearly 31 years of total service. Time flies when you're having fun, I suppose. I've completed three tours in Iraq, and have had the honor of commanding a Field Artillery battery in combat for an entire year. I'm married to a wonderful woman (and fellow Army officer), and we have two lovely children (ages 7, 8) who, there but for the grace of God, are two of the best behaved kids on the planet. (They certainly didn't get that from me!) I look forward to interacting with you all and, perhaps, meeting any of you who might be in my neck of the woods. Regards- Joe |
