Fantastic work by Ashton on wife’s 6919
So, I’ve been wanting to surprise my wife with a vintage Rolex for many years now and some time before Christmas I picked up a 1971 all steel 6919 on eBay. Case and bracelet were in amazing condition but it wasn’t winding and would stop randomly.
I brought it in to Ashton Tracey, who is local to me in Ottawa (he pops into the forum here from time to time). He loves working on vintage movements and knows his stuff. He did a full overhaul had to replace the main spring and two wheels. Couldn’t be happier with the work. My wife is pretty petite so the older ladies size works perfectly for her. She also doesn’t like ostentatious things so the steel and silver dial is a great choice too. Perfect pairing with my 1970 1680! |
