Bonjour,
I have been collecting-searching-hunting for Rolex Watches since 1992. It hit me on one of those ordinary days, without notice. This well established vintage watch dealer got me addicted to the brand-with-a-crown in a deal I could not understand at the time. Travelling abroad, I was wearing a plastic quartz chronograph. It happened to be VE - one to own then: VE so-called White horse Swatch Chrono. As I was looking at the large selection of vintage Sport Rolexes this store was displaying, the gentleman was staring at my wrist with envy. I could not not notice his interest. And stepped out of his place with a red dial 1665, and no more Swatch. I am sorry I did not keep in the 21st Century! Same regrets for the Comex pieces I owned during more financially comfortable times. I did love finding them, wearing them...but had to let them go. There is a mix of senseless attraction to industrially made objects, and desire to own piece of a legend. I keep getting some, and selling some. But the market has drastically changed those past 10 years. Fake and transformed pieces are common, and harder to detect. Too much money involved. But...................the pleasure is still on, and the crowd of fans is growing. I will be pleased to provide any help regarding Comex watches, based on my experience. Looking forward to reading your comments, Please accept my appologies for misspelling and/or eventual nonsens Best regards Dawatch |
