Expecting a new sub, but which one ?

Hi all Rolex fans !

I’m expecting to extend my watch collection by buying one of the most iconic watch, the submariner. But here we go I’m a little bit messed up. I would like to buy a vintage sm but I don’t know which ref should be the best one. I have bought some books about the submariner to know more about it but still waiting for deliveries ( coronavirus delay excused of course).

Which ref would you buy and for which reasons ?
