Ricciardo brought Renault down last year, right from the opening 10 seconds in Melbourne, trying to overtake on the grass.

Then in Azerbaijan he overshot and backed back into Kyvat, that was beyond stupid.

Then in Brazil he crashed into the back of Magnussen and Ricciardo finished last.

Ricciardo most time acts like a clown and is unbalanced in his professional demeanour.

At the same time, Ricciardo ran away from Red Bull because he couldn't stand the pressure from Verstappen and his ego could not handle a superior driver in the same team. It's little wonder Ferrari overlooked Ricciardo and went with the more stable and higher ranking (last year) Sainz.

McLaren may live to regret contracting Ricciardo.
