US-style jubilee bracelet with oval link ends repaired
I wanted to share a story about repairing my Rolex US-style jubilee bracelet / band with oval-shaped link ends. The bracelet was stretched and worn and it did not make my Datejust 1603 look better.
Before starting the repair job I asked around about fixing the US-style jubilee bracelet. The response from repair jobs was the same: it can not be fixed, or they do not want to do it as the parts are different from Swiss-style jubilee bracelet with D-shaped link ends. I did not want to give up so I sourced the necessary tools for link removal, double knurled link pins, spring bars, etc. Now it is done and I am superhappy with it. If you have US-style jubilee bracelet with oval-shaped link ends, now you know it can be repaired. I am happy share details about the parts and the watchmaker who helped me out. See before and after fix photos. |
