Cellini is a Great Underrated Watch!

So, I've been deciding which dress piece to acquire and am trying to understand why the Cellini is so unpopular.
Forgetting the piece's lack of history and "haute horologie" status when compared to similar pieces, the Cellini is a great watch for what it is!
For $10k less than a Calatrava, you get a stunning dressy piece with robustness of a Rolex sports piece. For someone who wants a more wearable and easily serviced watch than a Calatrava, this watch can be beat!
Exposed movement does nothing for me. Would rather have the weight and aesthetic consistency of more gold than glass case back.
I know how "legendary" PP is among watch geeks, but what are you really getting for the $24k you spend on a 5196j? A rather generic looking gold dress watch with a tiny dated movement that most people will think is a Timex!
Lange Saxonia is alright, but value retention no better than Cellini and less easily serviceable and robust.
Cellini is THE BEST everyday "dressy" piece! Change my mind...
