After a less than ideal experience trying to buy a platinum Day Date at a local AD, a friend introduced me to an out of town AD.

Their SA communicated politely and effectively via text. He promised a 2021 delivery of my exact dial combo in 2021 in exchange for a modest deposit. I made the deposit and banked the balance.

Last week, I learned that my son was receiving a significant academic award upon graduation from a masters program in May. On a lark, I sent the out of town SA a text with some details, and a photo of my son in the Seamaster he received for undergrad. Asked what I could get by August for him. SA replied he'd check and I thought nothing else of it.

Monday 6am, he texted "I just received a Sub Date. I recommend you act quickly if this will work for you". I sent AMX info, and it arrived yesterday.

No stickers. Coffin. Unworn. New style warranty card. Sales receipt. Free shipping. Signed and dated appraisal for MARKET PRICE (slightly north of the trusted seller prices I see here). Holy moly, did they take care of me!

So, I hate to tease by not naming them, and I won't in PMs, but I hope this encourages you to hit up those small town ADs, maybe with a PM order, and see what happens next.
