Service for 16600 - dial, lume concerns?
I'll likely send over my 16600 Sea Dweller for service in Dallas. It's from 2006 (I think some people would call it a "Mark IV" dial). So nothing special with regard to lume or dial for that matter. It doesn't last very long anymore so I wouldn't be opposed to fresh lume/hands, etc. My pearl is cracked anyway.
How will this work? Will the swamp out the entire dial or re-lume the existing? And is there any risk in the process where I would end up with a different color lume (blue instead of the classic green) or bigger hour markers like on a maxi dial? Or are the service dials (if that's what it ends up being) basically just new old stock and otherwise the same as the one I have now? edit: I may have found an answer here with the service dial for the 16600 listed at the bottom. I think I'd rather keep the one I have. https://www.watchprozine.com/rolex/s...s/5595173/732/ |
