Rolex Explorer on a Stuntman
I've been blogging with Jake on "Jake's Rolex World" for several years. Most posts on that blog--running strong for 14 years--are about celebrities and athletes choosing Rolex as their timepieces. It's fluff, I'll admit it; we never talk about case sizes or movements. It's like People Magazine for Rolex.
I'm especially proud of the story I wrote yesterday as the subject is not a celebrity. He is the face you never see. A professional Hollywood stuntman for big movie productions and A-list actors -- Charlie Sheen, Brad Pitt, George Clooney -- wears a 1967 Explorer daily, including during his stunts. (And you know you're tough when Chuck Norris calls you to be his stunt double.) ![]() Anyways, for some of us who debate -- internally or on this forum -- whether to baby our watches, this, I thought, was refreshing. And I wanted to write about it. Thank you for indulging me. Full story here: https://www.rolexmagazine.com/2021/0...-stuntman.html
