AP 15400 or 15500 buyers guide?

Hi everyone I'm trying to score a 15400 or a 15500 any dial but preferably a white dial. I went to a Dealer today in Manhasset, NY and I was basically told to stay in contact with the S.A here and there to check on it. However no timeframe was given on how long the wait will be or if I will be given the opportunity to buy it over other ppl.



I'm patient and persistent but is there any suggestions about getting this watch at retail or even a little over retail. I'm not too interested in paying double retail on the gray market which is the case now.

PLEASE CHIME IN AND LET ME KNOW HOW SHOULD I GO ABOUT OBTAINING THIS SO DESIRED TIME PIECE.
