Thoughts on the Speedy reduced watch?

I’m female and have small wrists — but I can wear a 38 mm just fine (I have a vintage Rolex GMT) but not sure about much bigger. I really want a Speedmaster and was intrigued by the earlier reduced size version (no longer in production but easily available on line). Reading up on it tho the movement is problematic to service, among other things. Anyone have it? Any views on that or which Speedmaster might wear on the smaller side? Or is this a fruitless pursuit?
