New (to me) Series A

Been meaning to post this but I’ve been preoccupied with other things, so this “new” watch is 2 weeks old in my collection.

The one that started it all, this particular series A is in very good condition for a ~50 year old watch. It was clearly not a safe queen, but not a beater either. Best part about it is that I purchased this from a friend who has owned the watch for many years so it’s got very traceable history as well as a recent certificate from AP when it was serviced. Almost all original parts (except some minor wear and tear components) so this one’s got original hands, indices, and of course most importantly, original dial showing a uniquely identifiable tropical pattern that’s fairly evenly developed. Very excited to be the new owner of this one.

Thought I’d share it here with those that might appreciate a good vintage piece.
