Lucky, or just a good watch
I wanted to share something I thought was of interest....
I have a Seiko automatic given to me by my parents in 1976. I wore it for several years and the bracelet broke. It ended up just being in a box in my dresser for years. We moved a dozen times and it moved with us. About 5 years ago my wife dug it out and took it to our local jeweler. He polished the case and plastic crystal and put on a cheap little leather strap. It was a great re-gifting to me and I have been wearing it on and off since. That last year or so I have been primarily wearing my Apple watch because it is extremely helpful in both work, exercise and pleasure. Anyways, a few weeks ago I got out the little Seiko and wore it for a few days. When I was done, I decided to put it in my winder so next time I wanted to wear it, it would be ready. I set the time to my cell phone as well as I could (no hacking feature) and put it up. I went in today to get it and to my surprise, after 2 weeks it was approximately 30 seconds off. This is as good as or better than many of my luxury watches and I have a few. So, am I lucky, is it coincidence, a very well made watch, or a combination of all the above?
