King Seiko arrived today

The announcement of the revived King Seiko line inspired me to make a purchase
…of a vintage King Seiko.

I bought a 45-7010 Hi Beat from 1970. I love the linen dial and the smooth sweep of the second hand (although obviously not as smooth my GS spring drive). The dial has darkened a bit over the last half century, and the strap is a non-Seiko replacement, but at barely over $700 in cost, compared to $1700 for one of the new (non-high-beat) revival watches), I have no complaints.
