A surprise incoming!!!

I got the call! The OP36 mm with the green dial. It's beautiful.

Backstory: I've been trying for the OP36 silver watch with gold indices for almost a year. In that time I've visited multiple ADs in my area and also others on trips out of the DMV area. A few seemed like they wanted to help, some were definitely a bit sneering and the vast majority just politely ignored me. I sort of honed in on one AD, where the salesman was just super nice, always had a great watch story to tell and, on top of it, the store had a good non Rolex collection to check out. I'm not into jewelry, apart from what I already own, leaving me with zero purchase history, apart from a Tudor BB58 I picked up from them about 6 months after I started my OP search.

The call: I was on bus in London recently (there for a brief visit, during which I wore the Tudor BB58 with no problems, even saw a man with a OP 36 Tiffany dial on a crowded Tube, and no even noticed but me I think) when I get a call from the States. It was the AD where I bought the Tudor. They didn't get in the OP I wanted, but they did get a green dial one and did I want it? I didn't hesitate. They agreed to hold it until I returned a few days later. Now that I have it, I couldn't be happier with the green dial. The watch fits so well and is really subtle, and it's a nice change from the Tudor, which is heavier and bulkier. Needless to say, now that I am wearing the OP green dial version, I can't even believe I ever wanted anything besides the green. It's just fantastic.

As for the AD, they will absolutely be my go to place for any jewelry I need to buy + when it's time for new watches, whatever the brand. Was I lucky? For sure. As it turned out the AD’s salesman and I really hit it off and I look forward to more talks with him about watches and kids. Photos (hopefully) below.
