FS: 1956 Rolex Submariner Ref: 6536-1 Gilt Chapter Ring

Serial # 155,XXX

Case: Very nice "no crownguard" case that has previously been polished and has very light wear since. The bevels are still defined and it has nice flat sides on the lugs.
The caseback is stamped: 6536/1 II. 56

Bezel/Insert: Very nice condition Rolex replacement insert that has faded to gray hue with age and has light wear from use.

Dial: Very nice gilt chapter ring dial with matching deep creamy hour markers. The lume on all the markers is completely intact. The markers glow briefly when subjected to intense light, which is correct for dials from this period. The glossy finish has aged to a matte finish. The two lines of text below the center post are difficult to discern but are legible with a loupe.

Hands: Excellent gilt hands with lume that has aged to the same hue as the markers on the dial.

Bracelet/Strap: Very nice newer C+I rivet bracelet with 12 links. The bracelet has some stretch and wear from use.
The clasp is stamped: 1-72

Accessories/Extras: This watch comes with only the watch as shown in the photos.
