Got the call today…
My AD finally called/ texted me today with my first Rolex offering from them - a Deepsea JC. I expressed interest nearly 2 years ago and got the call today. Finally.
Unfortunately my patience ran out waiting on my AD last November and I sourced my Deepsea JC elsewhere at a premium. I now understand how exciting it is to get “the call”. Now the dilemma- what do I do? Do I buy this new offering and sell my existing Deepsea JC and maybe come out ahead a bit? Do I buy the new watch and flip it? Buy it and have two? Or Do I turn down this first offering from my AD? All these thoughts ran thru my head as I’m texting my wife letting her know I got the call and figuring out what I tell my AD. Will I ruin my chances to get another offering if I turn this one down? Ugh… In the end , I looked down at my wrist and realized how much I love my existing Deepsea on my wrist the memories I have already created with this watch and how excited I was to get it late last year and I decide I will don’t want to take that joy away from someone else. So I call my AD, thank him profusely for the call but tell him I already sourced the exact watch and hope he understands. Ask him to move it on to the next guy on the list and hope he is as excited as I was to get the call. And put in my request for the next watch I would like. Hope I get a chance after turning the first down. Time (perhaps lots of) will tell. Happy with my decision and now looking forward to getting “the call” again and willing to be a bit more patient with a awesome Rolex already on my wrist. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
