Any 'Good Samaritans' here? (Flip Rolex for MSRP)

Anyone ever buy a watch then decide to get rid of it - but instead of selling on the open market, sell it for what you paid?

Back in the "good old days" we were all used to taking a loss. If you paid MSRP at the AD it was considered a bad deal and you were paying for the "free" champagne. Savvy buyers went grey and could expect to save 20%. Those days are over, perhaps they'll never return.

Holding something like a Daytona would present a moral quandary - I don't need this thing and could make a good profit. If I just want to break even, how do I know the buyer won't turn around and flip it for profit? How to find a true collector?

Seems like the only way this happens is among close friends & family.
