Normal practice???
Hi. I am awaiting a new Air-King via my local dealer. Prior to going away on holiday I could contacted the local authorised dealer to enquire what stock they had, and the possibility of purchasing a Rolex.
I received a reply a few weeks before going away that he had nothing at the moment it was getting stock of some watches, but didn’t know what yet, which was promising. On arrival at the store they had no stock, as in not even display models, none!! He said he’d be getting some stock in that week. As I was travelling to another part of the country I arranged to pop back before we flew home. The dealer contacted me later in the week, and, to my surprise and excitement, he was getting a new Air-King. Here was the catch, he wanted double the retail price, and to be paid via bank transfer straight away?? Is this normal, and r even standard practice? Should I be wary of this? I have declined his number ver, and have heard nothing since from the dealer. |
