Zinc sulfide production years

Hello guys!

Just a quick question: is is possible for a 1675 serial 1.802M to have zinc sulfide? That serial would place the watch around 1968. Asking 'cause I have seen many '68s 1675 without it. So, is it possible that back then there was an overlap using two compounds?

Thank you!
