Day Date 18238 vs 118238 bracelet question

Hi all,

Forgive my ignorance. It is my understanding that somewhere around the year 2000 the president bracelet went from hollow links to solid links.

Is the clear cut off for hollow vs solid the 18238 ref vs 118238 ref or being that a watch manufactured in 1999 could have been sold in 2001 is there no clear cut off point?

Also, I would assume that the solid link bracelet doesn’t suffer as much from band sagging?

From my reviews it looks like about a $4,000 to $6,000 price difference so I’m trying to decide if the premium is worth it.
