Rolex Servicing question

Hello
Hope someone can help. I live in the UK and four weeks ago I purchased a pre owned Rolex from a shop. The watch had all the paper work, tags and guarantee card with it. The watch was initially purchased from an AD in March last year. The next day I took it to an AD for a service. It was sent away ro Rolex and yesterday I had a phone call from the AD saying rolex had returned the watch saying that being it was just over a year old and no faults reported by me they would not service it.
My question is
a) Would rolex normally not service a year old watch if no faults were reported?
b) If rolex deemed the watch to be a fake or modified in any way would they specify this as the reason for not servicing it?
Any replies would be appreciated
Thank you
John
