A little help with DateJust?

Hi all, I am considering two DateJusts (assuming of course I am fortunate enough to get them!) and I am torn between sizes.

My thinking is to go for a dressier configuration on the first (DJ36, Oystersteel and yellow gold, white dial, Roman numerals, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet), that much is pretty certain in my mind.

My doubts are with the second, sportier, everyday DJ. I have placed a request for a DJ41, Oystersteel and white gold, bright blue dial, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, but I am always going back and forth on the size of the 41, thinking it's a mistake and that I should also pick this in 36 as well.

My wrist is 6.9in (17.5cm). I have tried on both DJ sizes at the AD and I don't think either of them looks bad or weird on my wrist. The truth is that coming from larger size watches such as the Speedmaster and Seamaster, the first few minutes after trying the DJ36 I was in shock thinking this is way too small, but the more I kept it on my wrist, the more it started feeling right, to the point that that I won't even consider the DJ41 for the dress configuration. I just don't know what to do about the blue one.

I know ultimately there are no right or wrong answers here and at the end I should go with my gut feeling, but since I am new to the Rolex world and I'm sure you guys know a lot more about the DJ or you maybe think that the DJ41 is a passing fad (just saying!) and since I'm not a trader, I should play it safe and stick with the classic 36 on both, or maybe you have probably gone through a similar dilemma. If any of the above resonates with you, I would certainly appreciate your thoughts, gentlemen.

Thank you for your time, it's much appreciated!
