Good experience at new AD
I took my watch there today to see if I can regulate 2 of my watches and evaluate whether I need service for my 2016 GMT. They were professional as always, but what surprised me this time, which is something they have never done before with me, is that they walked into their safe, and actually checked to see if there are watches available for me. They didn't find any, but it was a real safe, like a bank safe, from floor to ceiling, 5 inch bars, probably 2 two 3 foot thick vault door.
Anyway I have to to go back next week, and the SA said maybe he'll have something. We went through my entire wish list and I removed a lot of what I no longer want like Sub ND etc. Now it's just the Daytona Panda, Batgirl, and a wimbelton on jubliee. I said to him that that Daytona is just in case, and he agree, but he said you never know. They apparently only get a few a year. So I'm pretty impressed with the encounter. Too bad my collection is complete and anything from AD is going to make me rethink my collection or sell something from existing. Most of the watch I still want are for my wife. This AD is in Walnut Creek. I visited in person once last year. Apparently they have records of it. In additional to emais over the last year. |
