Got "the Call" for "my" perfect watch
While I understand this may not be a big deal, after months of tormenting myself with youtube videos, pictures, and research, I am finally the proud owner of a 2023 Explorer I (124270). I have a 2008 Datejust in blue that I love, and a '63 Date from my father (the perfect timepiece), among other non-Rolex watches, but I wanted something I could wear every day that was understated, classic, and that fits my measly wrist size (like the '63). The Explorer I was the match. Rolex has so many options, but this was the perfect watch "for me" (at least for now). What was interesting was the time it took to receive "the call" which was actually an email. I had registered my name to at least four AD's in my area (Miami), and the last one I registered with received the watch within one week - while the others had taken months and I'm still waiting to hear from the others - incidentally, I did notify them to take me off the list. Now, I'm not sure if it's luck (although it's an Explorer I), or things may be ramping up for Rolex. Anyway, the hunt was fun! Now, I'm waiting to hear back on a black and blue jubilee (batgirl) GMT, but that is another story...Cheers!
PS - Wish I knew how to post a pic of it.... Thanks all |
