Where are the good fakes coming from?

I own a couple Rolex watches. I've had them for almost 2 decades. I would like to get a new one and have been trying to find a good price on a used one. The problem I have is that there are some excellent fakes out there today. I am willing to bet I could be fooled even if I was holding a new fake in my hand.

I wanted to know where people were buying the really good fakes so I could do some homework and get an idea of what was out there.
