Hmmm... I remember a few years ago people said that about Lewis, that he was pure talent and the car had very little to do with it. Now he struggles to even beat his teammate. I'm not saying you're wrong. Max may very well be running on pure talent. It's just very interesting how things change over the years. Max certainly does things with his car that Perez could never dream of doing.

Most of the years Lewis was in the hunt for championships, it was far more competitive with other teams (and sometimes his own teammate). The car was a part of it, and Lewis was able to make the most of it. I'm not in the Mercedes with him, but it seems like he's a less aggressive driver than before. I think he's lost a step, and George Russell's performance seems to confirm that.
