Lost in the hype, bought a hot model from AD - buyers remorse - next steps
Guilty as charged - I put my name down for a hot model a year ago but pivoted a few months later to a different model and there was also associate turnover. Been working with a new associate for the past 5ish months following up on the new model and doing the dance. Really like the new guy as my previous experiences have been quite cold.
Last week I got a call for the original one, admittedly I was excited to get "a call" even though it wasn't "the call" and being a hot model I talked myself into it and made the purchase. Now after a week it is still unworn but I realize that even though the watch is so beautiful, it doesn't really fit with where I wanted my collection to go. It is a model that is easy to flip for a few $K profit but I feel a bit greasy about it. Further with this specific model I almost prefer the more basic dial option which feels silly too. So what next? Do I go back to the AD and try to return it (technically a no return policy), do I call AD and explain, do I just flip it? I don't want to damage the relationship with the AD, I would assume I'm off the list for the model I really wanted. Advice appreciated. TL:DR - caught in the hype, buyers remorse, what next without damaging AD relationship. |
