Repair help and advice
Looking for some advice for my SD purchased in June, 2007.
During the first year I had it, I sent it twice for warranty work because it was gaining a great deal of time, at least +30/day. The last warranty work was Jan 08. I think now I am beyond the original Rolex 2-year warranty, and also beyond the 1-year repair warranty. I'm having the same problem again, with my watch gaining about +12/day. I have to say that while I love the SD, I've been disappointed with its performance. I don't subject it to anything more rigorous than daily wear or gym. I really don't want to send it to Rolex NY again, as I'll be without it at least 6 weeks nor do I want to pay Rolex's service charge. If I take it to an experienced and reputable jeweler to regulate it, how important is it that I get the watch pressure tested? Can I expect to be able to find a jeweler that can do that, other than sending it to Rolex for service? Thanks for the help! |
