RSC repiars/arts delay question

Just a question, not a complaint. Brought my ceramic sub in for service 10 yr service. I asked for it to be sent out but local AD assured me it would be faster, same quality, same training etc etc

Estimated 6 weeks. In about 4 weeks they messaged me saying I needed a lumi dot. would I like it replaced. Sure. That was about 4 months ago.
Since then after several check ins they have no ETA on this part. Not an extremely rare part. Just wondering if Rolex itself is really that non communicative and or backed up on parts. I wish I knew before I left it with them, it sucks being without the watch for almost half a year.
