How did your collection change this year?
What did you add to your collection this year and what left?
Added: Sinn u50 - a great daily beater watch. Easily my most worn watch of the year and it still looks flawless because of the tegimenting treatment. It’s so hard to beat the comfort and lack of worry with this watch. Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Piece Unique - for me, it’s the perfect combination of engineering, craftsmanship and design. Very happy with how this piece turned out. Kudoke Infinity - we were in Chicago and my wife loved the aventurine dial and high grade of craftsmanship with this watch relative to her previous pieces. I like it a lot too, although my personal favorite Kudoke models are those with the engraved day/night indicator. Rolex Datejust on Jubilee - picked this up for my wife as she wanted a low stress daily. However, she wants to sell it because she likes her Kudoke more. But, I think I might just add a few links and keep it. D1 Milano - It looks like a drawing and is a lot of fun for the price point! Sold: Daniel Roth Chronograph. Awesome watch but there was a lot of overlap with my Armin Strom Resonance. Couldn’t see myself picking it up over the Resonance. Hublot Integral in black ceramic. I liked this watch a lot but it doesn’t fulfill a specific purpose in my collection. Tudor BB54. Bought this early this year for my wife but she upgraded to something else so it hit the chopping block! Personally, I think these are a great way to scratch the vintage itch without the stress. Grand Seiko SBGE275. Really nice watch and was basically my main piece for about 6 months while I lived in Mexico but it fell into the same bucket as my Hublot. Breguet Tradition Retrograde Seconds. Pretty redundant with the addition of the Armin Strom. Rolex 5513 from 1966 - Bought this originally for my dad but he never wore it and I didn’t feel comfortable wearing something so old in Vancouver where it’s quite wet and humid. |
