My Milgauss 1019 journey
Hi all,
I've been obsessed with the Milgauss range since the 116400GV came out. It was the first Rolex that caught my attention and I currently have the black dial GV and the non GV in my collection and I'm definitely hoping to add the white dial version at some point, too. (Username probably also a clue to my obsessive madness regarding the Milgauss). I've been researching and obsessing over the 1019 for a couple years now, but there seems to be a lot less information about it online than most of other models. I've only had the chance to see one in the flesh once and it was in a pretty rough state... overall I am quite scared about pulling the trigger on one of them and thought I'd open this thread in case there are any owners or enthusiasts who want to chip in. Any thoughts, comments, pictures and buying experiences will be much appreciated! My grail piece would be a birthyear (88) MG (which I'm not even sure exists... I've read they were sold until 89 but Ive never actually seen one dated after 87) Thank you all and I look forward to learning and sharing this joirney with you guys! |
