Thinking about getting back into Panerai

So I have a 243J and I have not worn it in some time. No reason perhaps just because its buried in the safe and never the first thing I see.
In general I have always favored watches on bracelets but Panerai is the exception due to all the fun straps out there.
For some reason years later I am starting to miss my 233 (dot). I sold it for something else but I've started to appreciate manuals again and love the power reserve on the 233 dial.
Is there any reason not to get a 233 (dot)? I recall years ago some people seemed to have problems with the 233 movement but I don't recall what it was.
The 270 is cool but I rather the manual movement of the 233, also I like the dial of the 233 better.
