New Panerai PAM 111

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share my newest watch, purchased today from the great AD in NC. I wanted a nice casual, "rugged", almost basic watch, and decided on Panerai.

When I got my second Omega (Speedmaster Broad Arrow), I considered getting a Panerai, but just didn't really know anything about them. When I decided to get another watch, I went back and forth, and let me tell you, really struggled on going forward with getting this watch. I considered another Omega, but the two I have pretty much sum up their more casual collection (i.e., I wanted a watch that was noticeably different than my Omega's, and didn't want a dress watch).

My poor Omega Planet Ocean (1st nice watch that wasn't a gift) will now be relegated to not being worn everyday - (the PO is an awesome watch btw) - I'll reserve it for whenever I wear black or gray I guess :)

Anyway, the AD here gave me a fair deal...and also gave me a Panerai Buffalo strap, which they put on for me. Never really heard of buffalo hide being used before, but I had actually been looking for a Nubuck type strap, and this definitely fit the bill! So...three straps out of the gate, great watch....the experience at the AD was truly wonderful...

Last but not least, as I was saying I was really struggling as to whether I should get a Panerai or not. I loved the look, but just wasn't sure about the price. Well, I have absolutely no regrets, I love this watch without question, don't know why but I just do. All the posts I've read along these lines...it's true, once it's on your wrist, something just happens...

Here are some obligatory pics :) I'll take more and post later. Sorry, the flash seems to have washed the dial out a bit...

With my two Omegas..

I'm in love!
