DEEPSEA Serial Number missing from 'between the lugs'

Hello fellow Collectors,

Has anyone noticed that the serial number on the new DeepSea is missing from the lugs at 6'oclock position....

I bought a 'V Serial ' Deepsea and even though I love it to pieces it wasn't getting enough wrist time as I found that the bracelet was a bit 'troublesome' as we all know the DeepSea is so 'heavy' sometimes is hard to find the perfect occasion to wear it.

Anyway, back to my original question.... I repalced the Rolex Bracelet with a Silicon Strap that way I can wear it more often when I took the bracelet off I found that the engraving at 6 oclock only has the 'stainless Steel' engraving but is missing the Vxxxxx serial number... the chapter ring has the the correct V serial numbers that matches the warranty card etc... I just found it 'odd' that they would not also engrave the case as usual....

Is this the case for all 'DeepSea' Sea Dwellers?? do we know why?
