SDDS dive straps

Now that the SDDS has been about 2 years on the market and getting more popular everyday . Are there some nice thick leather , nylon or rubber aftermarket straps available ? I wouldn't mind getting one in order to "save" the original band and glide-lock a bit when on the beach . Don't want to fit the garden variety NATO on it ( J.J. should be pleased to hear that , and that way the band doesn't squeak because that he doesn't hear ) It really scratches easily ( OK , I know it sounds anal and I do realize it is a divers watch , but ..)
Anybody out there that has fitted something other then standard on his SDDS ? Feedback ?
