I'm... I'm... I'm just a little shaky....
Trying... trying to hold it together...
![]() My Daytona has been running fast for.. well, forever. Right around 5 seconds a day, ( I can hear Larry right now... that is 999.99994% accurate!... agreed Larry but it bugged me)... It has been in for regulations at the AD but it consistently kept it's time of + 5 seconds a day. A couple weeks ago it was in the AD for a couple days for it's annual inspection, (required so the AD extends the warranty an extra year), and the watchmaker said he too, found it as running exaclty 4.8 seconds a day fast. He's a perfectionist, (kind of like me), and has a passion for making a Rolex it's absolute best. So he said to me: "Let me keep it for a week, maybe ten days, maybe two weeks, check it every day, adjust it a couple times, I'll get it to the most accurate setting possible." It... it sounded good... at the time anyway.... So... So... I dropped it off at the AD's earlier today... and... and I made them promise it would have a warm place to sleep at night.. and they would read to it... I've already called a couple times and they held it up to the receiver of the phone so it could hear my voice and not get too anxious... ![]() ![]() |
