Thanks for your interest in this listing:

190372084545 - Vintage Rolex mens OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE SUBMARINER N/R

While the vast majority of trade on our site is legitimate, we take many steps to protect our buyers from sellers who may offer items that are not authentic. One of them is to remove items reported to us as allegedly infringing through eBay's VeRO program. In this case, we removed the listing because the owner of a copyright and/or trademark in this product has reported to us that they believe the item may not be authentic.

We hope you'll understand that this action is intended to help protect you as a buyer.

Dear Sir

Re ebay item 190372084545

I am sending a fax because your message system only allows a few sentences to be input.

Today I won this item after having input the winning bid. The item is listed as a “Vintage Rolex mens OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE SUBMARINER N/R”.

I have been advised that this watch is a fake. I am also aware that a large number of people have reported this fake watch to ebay.com. Since I was able to bid and win this watch ebay.com obviously did nothing about their fake listing.

I have not paid the seller for the fake watch and certainly do not intend to do so.

I would like to know why ebay allowed this listing to continue after having been advised that the listed item was fake. I would also like your assurance that no negative feedback will be allowed to be associated with my ebay id as a result of non payment for a fake watch.

If you require any further information please email me at xxx@ecoxxtexxports.com.au.

I await your response."

Good news is no one lost any money here and with Dave's help we got the fat lady singing............
