Deepsea

Hello from a newbie,
I have had a problem with my deepsea which I bought two weeks ago (new) from a registered rolex dealers in the city I live. To my amazement as I was putting the watch on my wrist (luckily over the bed) the bracelet come undone and the watch fell on to the bed!!!
One of the spring bars had snapped at the, end but on further examination the bar was a black colour and looked "old". I immediately took the watch back which was repaired and the shop manager could offer no explanation... I had only wore it a couple of times and had not mistreated it in any way by myself.
Anyone had same problem?
ps got a GMT which i've had four years with no probles like the above....
