I concur that it doesn't sound good that both relatively new watches need a service. My Yachtmaster was about 6 1/2 years old when I sent it to the RSC for service. There was nothing wrong with it, but I had been wearing it daily, and didn't baby the watch...wore it swimming in the ocean, pool, etc. I think if you send the RSC a letter detailing the time-keeping problems with each timepiece (with specificity), then the problems will be in their computer system, and if the problems recur within a fairly short period of time, you would have an easier time persuading Rolex to take care of any subsequent service for no cost. Let's just hope that one trip to the RSC will take care of the issues.
Curious...I presume the RSC technicians would be able to diagnose whether the watches have been adversely affected by electromagnetic fields, etc. Let us know what they say. |
