Explorer 114270
Hey all, I've just recently purchased an Explorer and also registered with this forum site.
Whilst I deliberated for an age over which model to buy, I finally agreed that the simplistic / classic design of the Explorer was the one for me. It was between that and an Air King (blue dial / orange numbers). Anyway, I'm delighted with my choice as I see it's an iconic design and much sought after. It's my first Rolex and my first big investment into a watch (something I am gaining quite an interest in unluckily for my bank account!) My question is about the 3 - 6 - 9 numbers. Whilst they look to be luminescent along with the hands and hour markers, they don't actually glow under darkness like the aforementioned bits. Is this normal? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve |
