Broken strap screw

Hi guys, questions for u guys. Yesterday, it was the first time I changed the strap on my one and only one Pam. When I was screwing one of the screws back into the screw slot, it suddenly.........BROKE, and the broken part of the screw is still inside the screw slot/hole. I know, I know, so stupid of me...I've always been a Rolex guy and never have to change straps...until I got my 1st Pam last week and started to play with a new strap...oh well

Has any of u encountered this experience before??? I assume I have to take the Pam back to the service centre to have it fixed? The question is, can it be fixed? If so, how long usually it would take them to fix it? Thanks guys for helping me out during this tough time :(
