Hey Guys, I live in Manhattan and Oscar is currently visiting Manhattan. I am thinking of possibly selling my GMTII C to Oscar in anticipation of purchasing another Rolex and that is a diffucult enough decision to contend with. I have read of Oscar's pristine reputation as a buyer and seller but I need one final group of confirmations from the Forum. The potential plan calls for me to meet Oscar tomorrow and give him the watch and receive a company check from him for the purchase price. I am assuming that this is perceived as a appropriate method of transaction, since my meeting him in person negates the need for him to wire funds. I am also assuming that it is appropriate and recommended by members of this Forum that receiving Oscar's check is completely above reproach. Obbviously an out of state check will take a few days to clear. Again, no negative aspirsions cast on Oscar, I just have never done business with him.
Because I have never met Oscar before, can any Forum members describe what he looks like, even slightly? I know this sounds overly cautious, but I am a NYC stockbroker for many years and always try to have as many variables eliminated in a world full of variables. Thanks for the Forum's help. Ken |
