Vatican Splendors Tour...

I look for reasons to miss church on regular () basis and will be missing two Sundays in a row. Next week we have an out of town wedding, but my kids will be home so don't think...

This morning we went to the Strip District early, partook of breakfast at a Pixburgh landmark and walked around the strip.

Hey Doc: I saw Yuri, the jeweler, at the PrestoG coffee shop!

DeLuca's was featured on Man v. Food and is terrific...




Milkshake and eggs benedictine for breakfast...




...before our appointed 2pm tour of the "Journey Thru Faith and Art" exhibition at the Heinz History Center.





I snapped a few pix w/o the flash and didn't get caught.






The unfortunate ones, that did get caught,

had their cameras ripped from their fingers,
were thrown to the ground and were taught a lesson.
(It's The Vatican Collection! Do you really think they'd let everyone see people getting thrashed? )

There are better exhibits located on the other floors of the History Center...and no photo police!







The main exhibit bored me, but the 1960 Pirates, the Pennsylvania glass works, the Heinz Company and the general exhibit on the fifth floor made it worth while!

I wish I could have gotten a snap of each of the "splendors," but yunz would be nodding-off already and I might be "unaccounted for."
