Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT

I am a beginner in watches and lot of things gets me curious and asking question is my last hope when Google doest have answers.

I have been studying all the watches on the Omega website, The Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT watch got me curious.

What is the use of the chronograph function and how to read it when there is no tachymetre dial on the watch ? Am I missing something here ?

Any education is appreciated.
