Speedtona
After 13 years of Daytona ownership, I was recently bitten by the Speedy Pro while on vacation. The biggest positive for the Omega over the Rolex (other than price)?
One word: LEGIBILITY. The Daytona's highly polished hands and tachymeter bezel are terrible for low light situations they basically turn black and disappear without reorienting the viewing angle. As this picture shows - I've always been a sucker for a balanced subdial layout. The Bucherer dates from about 1974 and I wore it from high school through college. |
