What is the fuss about this pen

When I dipped into another pen forum, I encountered a cult following of a series of Pilot fountain pen, particularly the Pilot MYU from the 70's and the recent remake M90.

Once I learn more about this pen, I though I must get one.

Here is my NOS Pilot 701. The pen, coupled with fine nib is ideal for small hand. Its minimalistic design is typical of Japanese style yet unique in its own right.

Writing with it is fantastic. The fine nib runs as wet and smooth as a roller ball, making it a very practical pen.

This is a birthday gift to my daughter who is in university art & design program. She loves Japanese stuff and I hope this will cheer her up.
